Topolino’s Terrace-Dining Review at Disney World

Topolino’s Terrace is one of the newest restaurants on Disney property. It is located at the top of the new Riveria Resort. This was our first trip to the resort and this restaurant. Both lived up to the hype.

We visited for an early dinner. In the morning time, this is a lovely spot for a character breakfast. However, it is just regular dining in the evening. A few things to mention about this restaurant. Topolino’s is characterized as Signature Dining. Signature dining typically denotes a more upscale dining experience with a more upscale price tag to go with it. Never fear they take my favorite dining discount: Tables in Wonderland.

I was a little concerned at first because the menu at Topolino’s Terrace is so small. I have to say they have a small menu that is done well. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Everything we had was also well worth the price. This is a great spot for a celebration dinner or special occasion.

We love trying new places and I wanted an excuse to visit the Rivera Resort. We did take our two boys 9 and 7 with us for dinner. Our reservation was at 5:20 pm so early enough that it wasn’t too crowded. We did see other families with young kids there so it was family-friendly in a way.

For starters, during this time of COVID they took our temperatures before they sat us for dinner. The menu was also a scannable QR code as I have mentioned before in previous dining posts. The scannable menu takes away from the high ending dining experience in my opinion, but we have to stay safe right? Also, there were no paper menus for the kids to color on, because, signature dining. So plan ahead to keep your kids entertained.

The dinner was delicious. Did I mention that? My husband ordered the steak and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. I am not exaggerating. My boys both ordered the child’s steak and mashed potatoes. They ate their meals with speed and enthusiasm that was embarrassing.

I opted for the linguine scampi. It did not disappoint. Save some of the bread to soak up all the sauce with.

Dessert was also amazing. The kids have a choice of gelato as a side. They chose fruit and veggies. However, our lovely server brought them gelato anyhow. This was nice but we had ordered two desserts to split! We ordered the warm chocolate cake and the pistachio mousse. I would highly recommend the chocolate cake and pass on the pistachio mousse.

Of course, we decided to do it up with some cocktails before and after dinner. The midi spritz was light and refreshing. When you dine in this location you are able to access the beautiful terrace and enjoy a pre or post-dinner drink. I ended my evening with an espresso martini and a beautiful sunset view from the terrace.

We all enjoyed hanging out on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the sunset. There is a petite bar on the rooftop and a small seating area. When fireworks resume it will be a great spot to see them.

I highly recommend putting Topolino’s Terrace on your bucket list of restaurants worth the splurge.
