Hi everyone; I'm Kim. It'll come as no surprise that I'm a huge fan of all things Disney. I'm also a crazy cat lady (currently without cats), spastic crafter, and amateur Disneybounder. Living up in New England, I don't get to the parks as often as I'd like, so I try to bring Disney into my life at home, and hope to show you how to do the same!

    Kim Tries: Tonga Toast

Tonga Toast is my new love. Being married has been great, sure, but Tonga Toast is heaven on a plate, and I bet what Disney serves is even better than what I managed to make at home. You guessed it! (Or maybe you didn’t, but I’m going to pretend you did.) I tried the recipe from Disney Parks Blog to make my own at-home Tonga Toast. It went marvelously.

Kim Tries: Nail Art – from Pixar’s Up!

There are so many fun and creative ways to bring a Disney flair into your daily life. I love rocking a great Disney-inspired manicure when I go to the parks, but nail art is also a great way to bring magic back home. It can be a lot of fun to get pampered with some dazzling nails, but there are plenty of adorable designs you can do at home! For this at-home experiment, I tried to re-create Up-inspired nail art designed by @polishandbeyond!

    Kim Tries: Disney Churros

Since the U.S. Disney parks closed over a month ago (how has it already been a month?!), Disney has blessed us with nuggets of park magic for us to enjoy at home — including a recipe to make Disney churros!! I was apprehensive to try this one at home (because I’m a straight up chicken when it comes to handling bubbling oil), but, with encouragement from some friends (thanks for believing in me, Greg and Shannon!), I gave it a go today. Let me take you through how it went.

    Kim Tries: Disney Cupcakes

I spend far too much of my time down the rabbit hole of DIY (do it yourself) on Pinterest and Instagram. I’m constantly seeing adorable projects or perfect desserts and thinking “I can totally do that!” only to later discover, “Oh, oh no I cannot.” This crushing defeat doesn’t keep me down for long. It’s a good thing, too, because every once in a while, I find a project that is actually doable and its successful completion is so satisfying. A couple of years ago, I found some entirely doable Disney cupcakes that I want to share with you!

Kim’s Top 5 WDW Attraction Queues

I hate to break it to you, but you’re going to wait in lines at Disney. Planning and strategic use of FastPasses can sometimes minimize those waits, but they’ll still exist. Disney knows its guests don’t want to wait, so it does its best to make the attraction queues as entertaining as possible; they become part of the attraction experience.

    Kim’s Top 5 – Hollywood Studios Edition

I was hesitant to do this post without having visited Galaxy’s Edge (and without both attractions at Galaxy’s Edge being open), but I’ve got almost 6 months until my next trip to WDW, and I’m simply not that patient. I’ll revisit this list after I head over to Batuu (and maybe again after checking out Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway!), but for now, here are my top 5 favorite attractions at Hollywood Studios!! You can also check out my Top 5 Attractions for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom!

    A Disney Wedding

After careful consideration, Ben and I decided that a wedding in Disney World wasn’t the right choice for us. The proposal in the Wilderness Lodge was perfect (read about that here), and we love Disney and know they’d orchestrate a gorgeous wedding, but it just wasn’t quite the right fit. Since Disney is something we both love, and something we love to enjoy together, we decided the day wouldn’t feel right if it was completely without Disney. Here’s how we worked with the Mouse to bring Disney to our Rhode Island wedding.

Disney Skip List: Muppet Vision 3D

I love Disney six ways to Sunday, but sometimes I think my beloved conglomerate really misses the mark. In the parks, I put those attractions that don’t really tickle my fancy onto a very (especially relative to what the parks offer) short “Disney Skip List.” You can read about what landed It’s Tough to be a Bug on this list here, but in this post, we venture over to Hollywood Studios to discuss the “bizarre in a not-so-charming way” Muppet Vision 3D.

    Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is one of 3 deluxe resorts (the other 2 are Yacht Club and Beach Club) nestled around Crescent Lake between Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot. During each of the past 3 Augusts, Ben and I have stayed at one of these 3 gorgeous resorts, finishing our trio just a couple of weeks ago at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. This time, though, we were treated to something truly magical – a room upgrade to a 2-story loft cottage with Club Level access.
