As we all anxiously await the reopening of the most magical place on earth, many of us have spent considerable time indoors. I, for example, live in a small apartment in the city with my wife. (I am convinced that she believes each person she speaks to on the phone is hard of hearing, such that she shouts into the phone at maximum volume.) [Note: his wife is editing this post and thinks he’s the pot calling the kettle black…] As a result, I have spent a good deal of time pondering other places where this period of isolation might be more fun. Then I got to thinking, “Wouldn’t it…
Tonga Toast is my new love. Being married has been great, sure, but Tonga Toast is heaven on a plate, and I bet what Disney serves is even better than what I managed to make at home. You guessed it! (Or maybe you didn’t, but I’m going to pretend you did.) I tried the recipe from Disney Parks Blog to make my own at-home Tonga Toast. It went marvelously.

There are so many fun and creative ways to bring a Disney flair into your daily life. I love rocking a great Disney-inspired manicure when I go to the parks, but nail art is also a great way to bring magic back home. It can be a lot of fun to get pampered with some dazzling nails, but there are plenty of adorable designs you can do at home! For this at-home experiment, I tried to re-create Up-inspired nail art designed by @polishandbeyond!
Since the U.S. Disney parks closed over a month ago (how has it already been a month?!), Disney has blessed us with nuggets of park magic for us to enjoy at home — including a recipe to make Disney churros!! I was apprehensive to try this one at home (because I’m a straight up chicken when it comes to handling bubbling oil), but, with encouragement from some friends (thanks for believing in me, Greg and Shannon!), I gave it a go today. Let me take you through how it went.
I spend far too much of my time down the rabbit hole of DIY (do it yourself) on Pinterest and Instagram. I’m constantly seeing adorable projects or perfect desserts and thinking “I can totally do that!” only to later discover, “Oh, oh no I cannot.” This crushing defeat doesn’t keep me down for long. It’s a good thing, too, because every once in a while, I find a project that is actually doable and its successful completion is so satisfying. A couple of years ago, I found some entirely doable Disney cupcakes that I want to share with you!
Key Largo Family Vacation– I know, I know, Key Largo has nothing to do with Disney. As the local Florida resident on this blog team, I wanted to bring you all some other great Florida destinations. As our kids are getting bigger we are trying to get out and about and explore our state! Also, in full disclosure, we had such a great time on our Key Largo Family Vacation I wanted to share our adventures.
After careful consideration, Ben and I decided that a wedding in Disney World wasn’t the right choice for us. The proposal in the Wilderness Lodge was perfect (read about that here), and we love Disney and know they’d orchestrate a gorgeous wedding, but it just wasn’t quite the right fit. Since Disney is something we both love, and something we love to enjoy together, we decided the day wouldn’t feel right if it was completely without Disney. Here’s how we worked with the Mouse to bring Disney to our Rhode Island wedding.
So many places to visit … so little time is the old adage. We have been trying to visit a new destination each summer with our kids. Sometimes we make it further down the road then others. I am going to share my top 8 bucket list vacations for families. I have employed the help for some other great bloggers who I am living vicariously through, and are some of my travel inspirations. Disney’s Beach Club Resort – Contributed by Francine at PixieDustFan.com Ok, so the Beach Club is a bit of a cheat. I have been there for one glorious night. I need to go back. Francine lays out…
I am recently back from the most magical place on earth and battling the Disney blues by reliving some fantastic new memories. During our last visit, Ben and I were able to enjoy a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) perk called Moonlight Magic at Animal Kingdom — and it sure was magical!
