City Works- Dining Review
Each time we visit Walt Disney World we like to try something new. On a recent trip, we decided to check out City Works in Disney Springs. This new-ish spot is located in the same building as the NBA experience.
There is not much going on at this end of Disney Springs right now. This can be a positive as we continue to try to social distance. There also appears to be a lot of outdoor seating and an outside bar. This would be a great place to sit and have a drink in the winter when it is not so darn hot out. Also, The House of Blue is right across the street so you may be able to hear some live music outside if you time it just right.
City Works is a restaurant and craft beer lovers dream. With over 90 taps you are bound to find something that you will like unless you don’t love beer. In that case, they also had a variety of cocktails and sodas.
We stopped in at an odd time and just wanted a light lunch. They also have a great happy hour from 3-6 pm Monday through Thursday. This may be the way to go. A good beer anywhere on Disney property is not what I would consider a good deal, so $2 off is not bad.
My husband ordered the smoked chicken wings and I ordered a house salad. My house salad was a great size and perfect for the light linch I was looking for. My husband thought the wings were delicious as well. The boys split a kid’s pizza. However, when they brought out the food it seemed like they made a pizza for each boy because the portion was huge!
My husband and I love craft beer. I ordered a Florida beer and my husband chose to build his own flight. From a value standpoint, it is cheaper just to order an individual pour. However, if you want to explore some new beers a flight can be a really fun way to sample something new.
City Works has a sports bar atmosphere complete with a massive amount of televisions. If you have kids, you know this can be a big bonus in the distraction department. My kids were fully entertained watching the funny video /blooper real they had playing. ( no sports, thanks COVID).
Have you visited ? Are you a craft beer lover or hater? Consider this spot the next time you head to Disney Springs.
