The Walt Disney company is an ever-changing business. It seems like every day there is some type of news that comes from it. Whether its a new movie announcement, a ride that is being refurbished, of they are coming out with a new Mickey shaped treat! There is just always something going on. Sometimes its hard to keep up with it all. So I have decided to do a breif Friday weekly round-up of news called ‘This Week in Disney News’, or ‘TWIDN‘ for short. Now come and get your Disney News fix!

How cute are these?! Disney seems to really be stepping up their Mickey/Minnie ear game recently. No word yet on the exact date these will be released, as Disney has only said that they will be coming out ‘soon’.

7. New Play Pavilion Will Replace Wonders of Life at Epcot

Disney

Exciting things are coming to Epcot just in time for its 50th aniversery! This indoor pavilion will be unlike anything Disney has ever made before! I mean, look at that photo! This new Play Pavilion (the name is still in the works) will replace Wonders of Life. This pavilion will come alive with your favorite Disney characters, interactive and playful experiences, and hands-on activities!

8. New Epcot Park Entrance Announced

Disney

Epcot is going through a world of change! Coming soon, Epcot will have a new entrance that will be themed to the original park entrance. (probably to coincide with their upcoming 50th anniversary). As you can see from the photo above, the entrance will have new pathways, more greenery, and a newly reimagined fountain. Worried about what they will do with Leave A Legacy? Never fear! Disney will move it to an area just outside the park’s gateway.

So what do you think about TWIDN? Any story that you are excited about? Let us know in the comments down below!

I'm a lover of all things Disney! I have an adorable son named Andy (after Toy Story), and an amazing hubby named Aaron. For my family and I, Disney isn’t just a hobby or someplace we casually go when on vacation, it's a way of life. We try to go back 'Home' twice a year. My hope for this blog is to help families navigate their crazy, magical times through Disney and reach their Disney Dream!
