Top 10 Most Underrated Things in Disney World that You Need to Try NOW

We all know what the most popular things in Disney World are, and they are popular for a reason. People love them and love to talk about them! But have you ever thought about all of the great things you might be missing? Let’s check out this list of the top 10 most underrated things at Walt Disney World.

1. People Mover: Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom

Guys, I am telling you to ride this ride! It seriously is so underrated among park goers and I don’t understand why. The sights, the sounds… everything about this attraction is just so quintessential Disney World. Okay, it’s not the fastest or most thrilling ride. You can’t even get a FastPass for it. But it gives us one of my most favorite views of the castle! There is this one turn on the People mover (watch the video below) that the view of Cinderella’s Castle is like no other. Go ahead and give it a try. This is also a great place to sit down, relax, and escape the heat and the crowds for a little bit.

2. Gran Fiesta Tour: Mexico in Epcot

Again, another ride that you don’t need a Fastpass for. This is another ride that I just don’t get why people just walk on by. It is great! Okay, maybe a little flashy and again, not a fast moving ride by any means. But there is just something about it that makes me so happy! Also, the Three Carabineros (that include Donald Duck) are just so cute and fun! So next time you are exploring the World(showcase), check out this ride.

3. All Three All-Star Resorts

I put these three resorts in a group to save on space. But all three resorts are actually really cute! Don’t be afraid to stay here just because you hear the word ‘value’. The phrase ‘you get what you pay for’ doesn’t really apply here! These Value resorts are budget friendly with a whole lot of fun! The bright colors, family-oriented themes, and great amenities make these the perfect and underrated Disney resorts! I have actually written a blog article on all three if you want to check it out:

4. Monsters Inc Laugh Floor: Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom

I am sad to admit this, but I always thought that Mosters, Inc. Laugh Floor was just some boring show. And that’s because I never tried it. I tried it for the first time two years ago and boy oh boy was I wrong! This show is so hysterical! The best part about this show is that it is different every time you go. Sure, there are a few of the same jokes here and there, but the audience participation is what really makes this show a blast!

5. Living with the Land: Epcot

@Drennons_Do_Disney

To some people who have never ridden this ride before, it can seem like this might be the most boring ride on earth. A slow boat ride with no cartoons, music, or animatronics … where you get a lesson on agriculture?

But you may be surprised that Living with the Land is actually really fun! It takes you through science laboratories and a futuristic greenhouse, revealing some of the food breakthroughs and experiments that Disney Castmembers have made or are currently attempting. Disney actually uses the food that they grow here in some of there own restaurants! Not only is this ride a great underrated Disney attraction, but its a great learning experience!

6. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall: Norway in Epcot

Sometimes vacationers will put so much value on eating at Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table that if they don’t get these ‘hard to get’ reservations, their vacation seems ruined. But never fear! There is this underrated restaurant in Norway call Akershus. And it’s a character dining with Princesses! Also, I find that getting reservations for this restaurant is way easier than the other two. So it might not be in a castle, but the food and character experiences are great! If you would like to book this restaurant, click here!

7. Mickey’s Philharmagic : Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom

@castleboundkim

The show is funny, fast-paced, and incorporates sights, sounds, and smells! With your 3-D glasses, you really feel like you’re in the center of the action! You might even get splashed with a little bit of water! Similar to the Peoplemover, Philharmagic is a fantastic way to escape the heat and rest your legs. You also shouldn’t have much of a wait. At 15 minutes long, even if you enter the waiting area when a show has just started, you won’t have to wait too long for the next one. This is one of my favorite underrated Disney attractions!

8. ABC Commissary: Hollywood Studios

This might not be the most ‘highly themed’ quick service restaurant in the parks, but out of all of the quick service restaurants in Hollywood Studios, this one for sure is the tastiest. Here you can get a BBQ Rib Platter to a Shrimp Teriyaki Bowl. The prices here are probably on the higher side when it comes to quick service dining, but if you are on the dining plan, this is a great way to get the most bang for your buck!

9. The Boneyard: Animal Kingdom

This is a great and highly underrated place for your kids to run around and play! They can climb, slide, and dig for fossils! This a fantastic place for the kiddos to get their wiggles out after spending a long time standing still in line for a ride. If you would like more ideas on places to get the wiggles out, click here!

10: Pongu Lumpia: Pandora in Animal Kingdom

This liittle treat is so addicting and I feel like not many people give it the credit it deserves. This treat is a Spring roll filled with warm cream cheese and pineapple and fried to light and crispy perfection! tI am not even a pineapple fan (sorry dole whips), but this snack is a must have for me everytime I am in Animal Kingdom. This is a great underrated Disney snack!

So what do you think? Is there anything that you think is underrated that should make the list? Let me know in the comments down below!

I'm a lover of all things Disney! I have an adorable son named Andy (after Toy Story), and an amazing hubby named Aaron. For my family and I, Disney isn’t just a hobby or someplace we casually go when on vacation, it's a way of life. We try to go back 'Home' twice a year. My hope for this blog is to help families navigate their crazy, magical times through Disney and reach their Disney Dream!
